Through instruction, guided meditation, and discussion, the course will explore a variety of ways to quiet the mind, steady the heart, and befriend ourselves thereby deepening our capacity for being present and aware.
Participants will be encouraged and supported to develop a meditation practice at home and to integrate it into everyday life.
A second five-week meditation course will begin on Tuesday the 4th of June for anyone who wishes to deepen their meditation practise.
This course will focus on using our experiences as a support for meditation. We will explore loving kindness and compassion practices as ways to connect with our innate goodness and to extend love to ourselves and to others.
Jenny Forsyth will teach these meditation sessions at Unfold. She has studied and practiced meditation with a Tibetan Buddhist group, Rigpa, since 2004. She draws inspiration for her meditation classes from her teachers at Rigpa, as well as, Tara Brach and personal life experiences.
